More Than a Best Friend

This is Pancho.
He is the love of my little sister, Amy's, life.
He has been her loyal companion, friend, son and comforter for years.

He is a beautiful dog with a great personality.
He is a snuggler, a player, a walker, a snacker and a so much more.
That makes the news my beautiful sister received this week so much harder.
After a couple weeks of Pancho just not being himself and going through a series of treatments, an MRI was done and revealed that he has a cancerous tumor in his spine.
Amy is devastated.
Her life and schedule revolve around Pancho.
She expected to have more time with him.
She can't imagine what life will be like without him.

This is unbelievably hard.
She needs your prayers.
Pancho needs your prayers.

Some dogs become more than just friends to their owners.
They become members of the family.
That is Pancho!

As a dog owner myself - before I had real babies, my two labs were my babies. My life revolved around them and they really were my best friends - so I can understand what your sister is going through. I'm so sorry she has to go through this, it will be a really hard time. I'll be praying. It's making me sad just thinking about it...perhaps I need to go get mine from the garage and let them sleep inside again. Ufda.

A good dog is as much a family member as any one else.
I really hope it turns out okay.

Oh no! My sweet Beagle baby died a couple of years ago from cancer. She was only four...It was heartbreaking - I'm so sorry for your sister that she has to go through it!

Hi! We are dog owners. We had a spitz for 15 years, then a white bichon for 10 years, now we have another 3 yr old bichon. A good friend recently lost his 15 year old bichon. We decided to get another dog after the second one died and here is why...we are great dog people, we love our dogs wholeheartedly!! So, we honored or 10 yr old Amy by giving another "sister" a dog's life. Share with your sister that she hurts now and it WILL be hard, but later..when she is ready...she will give the gift of being "dog people" to another special friend.

I'm so so sorry for your sister. My sister recently went through the same thing, and it was so hard to watch her be in so much pain after losing her best friend. And it did feel like losing a family member to the rest of us, too. Gosh, she was such a good dog, just like your sister's.

What a beautiful dog!
What an incredibly sad story.
I. can. not. imagine.
It is so hard when bad news involves your pet.
They are indeed some of the most important members of the family.
Prayers and ((hugs)).
