An Honor

This past weekend I had the tremendous honor of singing in my wonderful friend Jennifer's wedding.

Jenn and I met when I lived in Miami and have been great friends for 10 years.

She is a true friend and when she asked me to sing, I was so honored I nearly cried.

The song was "Bless the Broken Road" by either Selah or Rascal Flatts.

The lyrics are so touching and it was the perfect song for their journey.

I have never seen Jennifer so happy and so beautiful.

She and her new husband Kory are made for each other and will have a joyous life together.

Of course I took my camera so here are just a few of the hundred or so beautiful moments I was able to capture.

By the way, today is Jenn's birthday so if you would like to tell her what a beautiful bride she was and wish her a Happy Birthday you can visit her at her blog here.

As the blushing bride in Susan's photos, let me tell you my dear, dear friend is quite accomplished at many things. I am truly not photogenic, but she managed to capture the joy in my heart in those photos. And she is QUITE the gifted singer. I had more than a few compliments on her talent, and she made many cry tears of joy as she sang. She is a beloved friend!

It is always fun to do music at weddings! Alot better than funerals...I made the mistake to try and sing at my Grandpa's funeral last summer...I couldn't make it through the song. I'll never do that again!
