Getting It In While We Can (WW)

This week we seem to have lost fall and barreled right into winter.

We have had frost the last two mornings and I finally had to give in and turn on the heat over the weekend.

Our high temps the last few days have been in the low 50's...brrrr!

Our days of playing outside for extended periods of time are headed into hibernation.

But, while we still can, we will enjoy as much time outside as possible.

Especially when we have the sun to warm our faces!

Mia is enjoying watching Austin play and taking little walks.

Next Spring, when the weather facilitates long periods of outdoor play, she will be a walker and things will be so much different.

So, right now, this Mommy is enjoying the "easy" life.

Austin has been taking breaks from his tricycle riding, dog chasing, mad-man running, car pushing, jeep driving and froggy jumping to push Mia in her stroller.

She seems to enjoys the attention and erratic driving.

However, sometimes I swear she is thinking, "Uh, Mommy! Do you really think this is safe?"

So, if I am not posting as much as usual, assume that I am outside with the kids.

Hoping that they will both get their fill of the outdoors.

So that when true winter hits, we won't all go stir crazy.

What incredible photos, Susan! I remember those LONG, cold winters. Those ones where it's too cold to even let your kids play in the snow. :)

Great photos and what a trooper you are taking them out when it is chilly. I think you son is staying warm pushing the stroller. I too am bummed that Fall did not last long. Shouldn't it last at least until Halloween night?

She DOES looks like she's questioning if it's ok for him to push!

Love her hat - too cute!

We're just happy for highs ONLY in the low 80's around here!

It's funny, I am still surprised by the change of seasons from one place to another. I am still waiting for it to get cooler here in FL.

How cute is Mia?? I love the pics of her with the sun on her face.

And yeah, I used to let Cade drive Anya too. I'm sure she was somewhat concerned too! :)

Glad to hear that you are enjoying the last couple of days. I am not ready for winter either!

Fall is never long enough for me -- even if it lasted until Christmas. Mia looks like she is holding on for dear life, in that last shot.
That binkie-less smile is wonderful too.

Adorable!

Enjoy the weather while you've got it! I live in Minnesota and we're still wearing shorts in the 50's. Alright, so it's with a sweatshirt, but shorts all the same, LOL. My husband refuses to give in to the weather, so he grills out all year long. Sometimes it melts the snow right off the deck. :o)

Blessings, Whitney

We're supposed to get hard frost Sunday and Monday, so yesterday, my youngest and I picked as many flowers from our wildflower garden as we could! It was neat to bring them in and put them in vases all over the house. :) - MM

Oh yes - outside playing is DONE here...I drew the line at 45 degrees which resulted in a nasty cough for both kidlets. Oh the joys of living back up North and the perpetual colds that they will have. Ugh. Enjoy your time outside!!

You always take great photos.
Of course it is hard to take bad ones with subject matter like that.
I am so not ready for winter.
Not. at. all.
