H - O - T

We have been home from our vacation in Florida for almost two weeks now. So go ahead and call me a slacker for just now getting some pictures and posts up.

It's okay...I can take it!

While we were in FL it was HOT.

Truly uncomfortable.

Of course, I think the highest temperature we had experienced in PA was about 82 with no humidity, so 97 with a heat index of 106 and high humidity was a huge change.

Thankfully, Grandma and Grandpa's house had a pool, but even more fun was the "Sprinkler Park."

Just minutes away was a cute little county park with this fun water feature.

The kids really enjoyed attempting to beat the heat.

Mia must wear her bow at all times so here she is begging me to put it back in her wet hair. Such a girl!

Mia liked this much more than the pool.

Austin was really enjoying the simple pleasure of it too. He loved that the different features did not all stay on at the same time. It would stop and start in new places and he would guess which one was coming on and be so proud of himself if he was right.

Surprisingly, there was only one other child there the morning we went. Mia was being friendly but secretly I think she was after his bucket.

It was a great time! And though we beat the heat for a brief time we didn't beat the mosquitoes.

So, playground time had to be very brief because though the kids were swinging and safe from bites, Mommy and Daddy were being eaten alive.

More vacation pics and stories to come. Hold me to it...otherwise my slacker tendencies may take over again.
